FreeCoton Orchard Bioblitz
with On the Verge, Cambridge
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2nd July 2023
We will be surveying this 100 year-old orchard for bees, butterflies, bats, moths, lichen, small mammals and more to see what this fabulous habitat contains.
Over the first weekend in July, we shall be taking a ‘snapshot’ of the wildlife in Coton Orchard. Biological records from the event will be passed on to national recording schemes and will help to build our knowledge about the biodiversity in this Priority Habitat.
The activities and recording will be led by experts from various fields. Come and see what we find, and help with identification – with ID guides and experts on hand. No prior experience is required.
Numbers for all activities and events are strictly limited – so book early to avoid disappointment.
