Oxford Road Living Streets Walk

Join ‘Jolly Green Gardener’ Dom Claydon-Wallace, Oxford Residents Association and Living Streets Cambridge for a nature walk along Oxford Road.
The Oxford Road residents work hard to make their street better for both walking and wildlife. View hedgehog highways, swift boxes, and other Nature-friendly interventions around the neighbourhood.
Swifts are a beloved but increasingly rare seasonal visitor to the UK, and Oxford Road has possibly the largest population in Cambridge city, so find out how they did it and what you can do where you live.
Living Streets Cambridge is a local group that promotes better walking environments and encourages more walking. They highlight problems faced by walkers and wheelers, and help to provide pedestrian-friendly solutions. They campaign for more investment in streets, crossings and pedestrian infrastructure. They organise free, regular walks on Wednesdays and Sundays that are about 1.5 hours long, relaxed and social.
Meet at Fitzwilliam College Playing Field entrance on Oxford Road.
This event is also part of the UK-wide Great Big Green Week.
