Abbey Community Orchard & Allotment Gardening

Explore your local community greenspaces this summer and join us at the Margaret Wright Community Orchard & Fox Den Allotment for our monthly gardening session 🌳

All equipment is provided, and no gardening experience is needed, just the willingness to learn and participate in physical tasks. Session Leads will provide guidance and support on safe use of tools, and give instructions on how to carry out the different tasks.

Find us at Margaret Wright Community Orchard, Whitehill Road, CB5 8LZ. The no.3 bus stops on Whitehill Road and then it’s a short walk to the Orchard. Please bring a water bottle and wear long trousers and sturdy shoes.

This event is part of the Cambridge Nature Festival 2026, 23rd May – 30 June, a celebration of Nature on your doorstep. View all events

Abbey People runs monthly gardening sessions at the Orchard & Allotment on the first Wednesday of the month 9:30am – 11:30am. Find out more on our website here.
