Wild in the Meadows (Trumpington Meadows): Family Pond Dip and Adventure walk

This is part of a series of activities for families throughout the year on Trumpington Meadows Nature Reserve.

In this session, join Becca Badger for an adventure on Trumpington Meadows Nature Reserve. We’ll walk to the pond (it’s about half a mile from the Ranger’s Office) doing silly challenges along the way, then spend some time pond dipping before strolling back. You’ll be amazed at what we find in the pond; it’s as exciting for adults as it is for children!

This session is perfect for ages 7-11. Older children will also enjoy the activity. It is not suitable for children under 5 for health and safety reasons. You are welcome to bring pre-walking babies in a buggy or sling.

Booking is essential to manage group size. Please follow the link to the Wildlife Trust BCN website. £5 for Wildlife Trust BCN members, £7.50 for non-members (limited early-bird tickets are available)

6-14 June 2026

This event is also part of the UK-wide Great Big Green Week.
