Eddington Ecology Tour
June 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Discover some of the habitats and features created at Eddington in this walking tour led by Mike Dean, the project’s ecologist. Eddington is a growing sustainable community in Cambridge, led by the University of Cambridge. The tour will outline some of the works undertaken to enhance the area’s biodiversity, such as the lagoon, tree planting and reedbeds at Brook Leys, as well as highlighting some of the features in the built environment at Eddington. Mike will also explain how wildlife and important habitats were protected during construction, such as great crested newts, nesting birds and the veteran oak tree.
