DESCRIPTION:Earth & Mind and East Barnwell Health Centre have partnered to bring the community a new garden project! \nWe have been working with the patients and the staff to co-create the garden\, to make the new space a place for everyone to enjoy.  \nJoin us from 11am on Tuesday 26th May\, in the garden as part of the Cambridge Nature Festival. This will be an opportunity to discover the garden co-design results\, whilst engaging in some nature-based activities and discovering more about your local community. There will be hot and cold drinks available\, with some other refreshments. SUMMARY:Histon & Impington BioBlitz
DESCRIPTION:Histon & Impington Green Spaces and Histon & Impington Community Orchard have joined forces for an all day nature extravaganza – Histon & Impington BioBlitz 2026. \nWe will be discovering the wildlife and plants in some of our woods and meadows including Histon Wood\, the Croft Close Nature Reserve\, Long Meadow\, the Manor Park field and Community Orchard. \nWhat is on\, where and when?  \nNature sets the timetable! From dawn (almost) to dusk local experts will be hunting for animals and plants\, and anyone – young or old – can join them. Just drop in\, no need to book. \nThere will be a wide range of stalls with a nature theme based at the Community Orchard in the morning. Our BioBlitz “hub” at St Audrey’s Close Community Centre will also have a range of nature stalls plus a totaliser where you can see just how much has been identified as the day progresses. \nWe have a full programme of TIMED ACTIVITIES that start from either the Community Orchard or St Audrey’s Close Community Centre – see website for timetable. \nSt Audrey’s Close Community Centre will be the BioBlitz ”hub” open from 10:30-16:30. During the morning there will be a second hub in the Community Orchard open from 8am. (See also the separately advertised Orchard Breakfast\, serving 10:30-12:00). There will be a nature puzzle trail between the two hubs.

DESCRIPTION:Histon and Impington Community Orchard are holding their annual ‘Brunch at the Orchard’ event.  We’ll have an interesting mix of wildlife-related stalls including moths\, butterflies\, and wildlife photography.   We’ll also be serving cooked breakfast\, with teas\, coffees\, juice and croissants if you’d prefer.   The event is free; donations are welcome and there will be a charge for the breakfasts. \nPlus this year we are joining in with the Histon & Impington Green Spaces Bioblitz.  From dawn (almost) to dusk local experts will be hunting for animals and plants to show you.
