Free

***Extra Tour Added Due to Demand***

Eddington is a new community in Cambridge, developed by the University of Cambridge. Discover some of the habitats and features created at Eddington in this walking tour led by Mike Dean, the project’s ecologist.  The tour will outline some of the works undertaken to enhance the area’s biodiversity, such as the lagoon, tree planting and reedbeds at Brook Leys, as well as highlighting some of features in the built environment at Eddington.  Mike will also explain how wildlife and important habitats were protected during construction, such as great crested newts, nesting birds and the veteran oak tree.

Discover new areas of natural habitats in Cambridge and hear about Eddington’s progress in this informative tour.

Meeting point: Picnic benches at the northern end of the Madingley Road Park and Ride.
